One of our impotant topics for class is "glory."

We are going to do some study on this topic of God's glory. It comes up in John 1, when it states that "We beheld His glory...."  (verse 14). Did some see His glory and others did not? What exactly is "glory" anyway? This "glory" is as the "...only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."  Is the glory full of grace and truth or is it Jesus that is full of grace and truth?   Or does it all go together somehow? Let's look at the word "glory" in the Book of John.
Gospel of John    Written in the 90s AD by John the Beloved.  This is John, the brother of James who were referred to as the "Sons of Thunder." Just to help you out, John's brother, James, was killed by Herod in Acts chapter 12.  The other James you need to know about is James the brother of Jesus, who wrote the Book of James, and is the one who did NOT believe in Jesus during His ministry.
Colossians Class at EWPC This Bible class meets Sunday at 10:45 at EWPC, 6900 Billtown Road. Last week we studied "The Colossian Heresy" in chapter 2 of Colossians.  Here are some highlights:      *  We discussed "...the worship of angels....", cult-like beliefs and behaviors that take Christians away from the person of Christ.  How we are complete in Christ!  This is what is stated in Colossians 2:10.  How we don't need to go through a spiritual leader to pray and fellowship with Christ.  We don't need to practice legalistic disciplines to be accepted by Christ.      *  We will continue to go through Colossians and discuss topics such as:             1.  The wonderful balance between knowledge/wisdom and practical Christian living.             2.  Great verses like "...Christ in you,...
